YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH BREAKFAST
This morning I had the pleasure of sharing my story at the WA Association for Mental Healt Youth Breakfast, as part of 2016 conference.
Young people face so many challenging times throughout their youth.
It is a time of constant change, transition periods, new responsibilities & expectations and decision making ... All of these place young people under so much pressure.
When we don't know how to process our thoughts and feelings in a healthy way, we often resort to coping mechanisms that can be detrimental to our overall health.
It's so important that people speak up if they feel as though their mental health is suffering - because people will listen & people do care.
It was and always is an honour to share my story.
Today I was lucky enough to share the space with so many determined young people making a difference and a positive impact within the community.
